Topic: Evidence-based practices in ____________ (anesthesia, patient safety, pharmacology, pediatrics, pain management, nursing education, neurology, gastroenterology, family practice, emergency care, cardiovascular, etc.…).
Length:
1st draft: 3-5 pages
Final submission: 8-10 pages
Sources: Minimum 7 academic journal publications published within the last 10 years.
Format: APA format (cover page, running head, page numbers, in-text citations, reference page). Please use the file “Research Paper Template,” which you can find under the course documents folder in Moodle, so that your paper would have all the necessary sections:
Abstract
Introduction
Significance
Literature review
Discussion
Practice implications
Summary and conclusion
Submission: Drafts should be submitted electronically to Moodlerooms:
First Draft
First draft should include a cover page and a reference page formatted according to APA.
The text should include an introductory paragraph, significance section, and some of your literature review (minimum 3 studies for this draft). It should be minimum 3 pages of text, but feel free to submit as much as you would like. For the first submission there should be total minimum 5 pages: cover page, 3 pages of text, and a reference page.
Final Draft
For the final draft, you will need to submit your research paper with the addressed feedback from the previous submission, and the rest of the sections: complete Literature Review, Discussion, Practice Recommendations, and Summary and Conclusion.
