Big Australia
Big Australia is helpful to the future of Australia. In recent years, the population of Australia has been growing, including immigrants, new born locals, and some permanent tourists, contributing to the prosperity of Australia. Now, Australia's economy is growing, and Australia will have a better future. The purpose of this essay is to explain that big Australia is a good thing.
Big Australia can bring about many advantages, which is reflected in population growth. More immigrants cause the population in Australia to increase continually. The positive influence of the growth of immigrants can be seen from here. For example, Benson(2012) shows that “It is obvious that the more immigrants from specific areas of the world the more chance of overseas investment from businesses and investors in these specific countries.” Consequently, People from different countries come to Australia, and relationship between Australia and other countries is closer, which gives Australia more commercial opportunities. In addition, Verrender(2017) report that the growth of population means the growth of labor force. As a result, the local small business people in Australia can gain more cheap labor force to reduce the cost of business and gain more profit. And big enterprises can gain more technical talents of different types to have better choice. The problem for lacking of local technical talents is solved. Therefore, the increase of immigration has brought benefits to Australia's future development. To sum up, both increase of immigrants and growth of local people are beneficial to Australia.
The second manifestation of Big Australia is the rapid economic growth.,For example, According to Scutt (2018 ) claim that The second manifestation of Big Australia is the rapid economic growth. The growth of population and economy are mutually connected and directly proportional. The growth in economy contributes to rapid expansion of city. As a result, Australia has the chance to build more large cities, have more economy centers, increase the jobs, improve the employment rate and increase gross national product. It means that the consumption level of people is raised. It is a favorable circulation. Which is good for Australia's development.
On the contrary, big Australia also has one bad aspect which is mainly reflected in cultural conflicts. Among which, the uppermost one is the conflict of religious faith..For example, Quinlan (2017) report that big Australia consists of people from different countries. The religious faith contributes to different cultures, habits and thought. Just like people in the country which believes Muslim do not eat pork, but people of many other countries eat pork. So the tiny conflict cannot be avoided in big Australia. But just due to the accumulation over a long period of these tiny conflicts, the national conflict aggravates unknowingly.
The purpose of this essay was to discuss big Australia is good for Australia in the future. Firstly, this essay described big Australia’s manifestation in the growth of population and economy in Australia, and explained the positive influence brought about by them to Australia respectively. Then it explained the population of big Australia drives the development of economy, which brings about more opportunities for the development of Australia. In the long term, big Australia is favorable to the development of Australia.
